Brookline “… a suburb that doesn’t feel like suburbia” (CNN Money)
Brookline is stocked with awesome retail amenities, is close proximity to public transportation, schools, parks, and golf courses, and, for all you sports enthusiasts, it’s also walking distance to Fenway Park. Those are just a few reasons Territory.com thinks Brookline is one of the best places to live. We also happen to believe Brookline’s real unique quality is its sheer size which offers home-buyers various neighborhoods to choose from.
Here is a sample of our Home-Buyer clients favorite Brookline neighborhoods:
(See what all the fuss is about: Each neighborhood is a link to what is currently on the market)
Coolidge Corner – Perfect for a single, couple or family buyer(s) who can’t quite give up their love for city living but want some green. Consisting of mostly condo’s – but plenty of gorgeous Victorian singles if your price range permits – the area is surrounded by lots of retail and restaurant amenities all within walking distance.
Brookline Village – Much like Coolidge Corner, it’s a mix of suburban life and city heart. Lots of retail and restaurants, condo’s and townhouses with a few single families sprinkled in between. Tons of character!
Washington Square – Another quaint and retail heavy area. Everything is within walking distance including public transportation.
Chestnut Hill – Located just 6 miles west of downtown Boston, this suburban neighborhood has beautiful landscape. In 1870 the area around the reservoir was developed by renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted, designer of Central Park in New York. Sections of chestnut hill are also part of the historical district so you will find plenty of architectural charm.
Fisher Hill – Wow! is the best way to describe this premier neighborhood. The average price of a home in this location is around $2,000,000, and if you can afford it you buy it. This is a spectacular blend of city living and suburban space. Plus there are beautiful views of the city from atop the hill.
